  As part of the opening ceremonies of the "Reconnections & New Directions" conference at Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, Mark Zelinski presented a copy of Outward Bound: The Inward Odyssey volume 2 to HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York. In the book's forward, Andrew predicted that the new edition "will serve to inspire future generations of leaders across the world."

More than 100 conference delegates from around the world represented the four educational organizations founded by Kurt Hahn: United World Colleges, Outward Bound, the Round Square Association of Schools and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Liz Cunningham, a close relative of Kurt Hahn and founder of www.kurthahn.org <http://www.kurthahn.org> , is now collaborating with Mark Zelinski to create a new book about the foundations of the Kurt Hahn vision of education ˆ linking these organizations together in a way that has never been done before.
